Empowering the Voices of Language Learners through Filmmaking
Reel Voices is a film festival open to all language teachers and students anywhere in the world. Whether filmmaking is a major project in your class, or you are just looking for a new and creative activity to try, we welcome you to join our festival and community!
Watch FilmsThe Reel Voices Language Learning Film Festival aims to empower language learners by providing a platform to creatively express their ideas through filmmaking. We hope to inspire students to practice their language skills through meaningful learning, while building confidence, creativity, and communication that extend beyond the classroom.

Filmmaking projects are a very fun and engaging way for students to practice and apply the language they are learning. Students work collaboratively to write, shoot, and edit short films, while communicating and using the target language. These projects can not only improve language proficiency but also boost their confidence, creativity, and 21st Century Skills.
By participating in the film festival, students have the opportunity to share their films with a wider audience and gain authentic feedback and recognition that can deepen their sense of achievement.

Reel Voices is a pioneering project aimed at language learners and educators. Our team, comprised of passionate teachers and researchers from Japan and South Korea, is dedicated to exploring the impact of filmmaking in the language classroom and beyond. Join us as we celebrate the voices of language learners and showcase their ideas and creative achievements.
